Course Description

This course is designed to offer orthopaedic surgeons in practice, residents and fellows instruction in primary, revision and extensile surgical approaches for the hip and knee joints. This course will facilitate the development and improvement of surgical skills for these commonly operated joints with lectures and hands-on cadaver surgery mentored by experienced arthroplasty and trauma surgeons.

Objectives

Surgeons should develop competency in surgical approaches to the hip and knee for primary and revision arthroplasty and orthopaedic trauma cases. Standard arthrotomy (including posterior, lateral and anterior exposures), MIS and extensile techniques for complex surgery will be emphasized.

Accreditation

FORE is accredited by the ACCME to sponsor CME for physicians. FORE designates this educational activity for a maximum of 8 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
