Course Description
Fellows Day encompasses a day of judged oral presentations by the Florida Orthopaedic Institute Fellows. The conference is designed to allow young investigators the experience of presenting their own research work to their peers and to attending surgeons in a professional and supportive environment. This course also highlights the importance of orthopaedic research and the current areas of investigation within the subspecialties of orthopaedics.
Target Audience
Physicians, nurses, physician assistants and other healthcare professionals whose scope of practice incorporates treatment of orthopaedic ailments.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to discuss current state-of-the-art research to enhance competency in:
- Joint Replacement
- Fracture Management
- Complication Management
- Soft Tissue Repair
- Bearing Surfaces
- Biologics and Motion Preservation
Accreditation
Physicians: Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education is accredited by the ACCME to sponsor CME for physicians. Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education designates this live activity for a maximum of 8 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
AANS: The AANS accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ issued by organizations accredited by the ACCME.
Physician Assistants: The American Academy of Physicians Assistants (AAPA) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME.
Nursing Credit: For the purpose of recertification, the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ issued by organizations accredited by the ACCME.
