Fellows Day

Each year, approximately 15 Fellows are selected from a pool of more than 115 applicants to spend 12 months in orthopaedic training. The Fellowship program, which began in 1999, is a joint venture between the Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education (FORE) and Florida Orthopaedic Institute (FOI). While training with physicians in their sub-specialties, Fellows are expected to complete a minimum of one clinical research project. Such research projects are expected to be of exceptional quality, worthy of submission to peer-reviewed journals.

ACCME-accredited Fellows Day has been held annually since 2007. During Fellows Day, a world-renowned keynote speaker opens the meeting with a presentation in his/her specialty, followed by each Fellow presenting his/her research project to Fellows, invited attendees, and a panel of judges. Fellows with the top three projects receive distinction awards.

For additional information on specific Fellowships, along with a Fellowship application, visit Florida Orthopaedic Institute's Fellowship Program.
