Dr. Charles A. Rockwood Jr. as 2009 Fellows Day Lecturer

  • 3-31-2010

As part of the research and education mission of FORE, each year we work with the surgeons who are in fellowship training at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute to complete at least one research project. The fellow works on this research project over the course of a year while they are receiving training in the clinical and surgical setting. Fellows Day occurs near the end of the fellowship year and it is a time for the fellows to present their hard work to their peers, attending surgeons, and other medical professionals. The Phillip Spiegel Memorial Lecturer is selected for their contributions to orthopaedic medicine and their recognition by their peers.

Dr. Charlie Rockwood is one of the most recognized names in orthopaedics and he is one of the fathers of modern shoulder surgery. We are honored and excited to have Dr. Rockwood as our 3rd Annual Phillip Spiegel Memorial Lecturer.
