Internship Application - Research

The Internship Program is designed for students who will be 18 years of age or older at the time they begin the program and who are currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university as undergraduate, graduate, or professional students. Intern applicants with strong academic achievement in fields such as Biology, Biomedical Science, or the Social Sciences are preferred.

Each intern will be matched with a primary mentor in one of the following specialties but will also have opportunities to observe in other specialty areas. Please rank the following specialty areas with the top drop-down being your first choice. Continue in order of preference. Subspecialty areas are subject to availability.

Please attach the following documents.

Include the following within your resume: 1) Names and contact info for 2 references, and 2) List of extracurricular activities, community service, and employment. Evidence of leadership is an important part of the selection criteria.

Please state in one page or less why you want to participate in the program, including how you decided on your ranking of clinical specialty areas of interest. (We make every effort to match interns with their specialty of greatest interest.)

Unofficial transcripts are accepted.

At least one letter of recommendation is required (do not send more than 3). Letters should be emailed directly to mpliner@foreonline.org from your teacher/counselor/advisor/principal within 1 week of your application. Indicate below who will be sending letters.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis by researchers at FORE. We conduct application reviews every three (3) months: February, May, August, November

Applicants will be notified by email or phone within 30 days of review to begin within 2 months of the decision. [For example, if you apply in January, your application will be reviewed in February and you will be notified in March to begin by May.]
