About our Program

The Continuing Medical Education (CME) Department at the Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education (FORE) facilitates improved patient care through educational activities that maintain, develop and enhance knowledge, skills and professional performance in surgery and care.

The ACCME-accredited CME Department is designated to provide administrative oversight and program coordination for continuing medical education for FORE. We are dedicated to promoting lifelong learning through the provision of educational experiences for physicians and other health care professionals who wish to enhance and expand their medical knowledge and skills to improve health care services.

The CME Department is committed to sponsoring quality continuing education activities to meet the needs of physicians and other healthcare professionals practicing throughout the state, nationally and internationally. These activities are designed to keep pace with advances in medicine, technology and biomedical research. CME activities at FORE are continually updated to maximize the utilization of our faculty and explore opportunities to enhance medical knowledge and skills among the target audience.

As the rate of change in medicine continues to increase, CME programs are dedicated to providing new knowledge for participants, encouraging the reassessment of existing knowledge, and changing practice behaviors to improve patient care. It is anticipated that CME activities sponsored by FORE will be balanced, ethical and objective. In addition, it is expected that CME activities sponsored by Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education will meet or exceed the accreditation requirements of the ACCME. Our staff works closely with the program director(s) in planning (including needs assessment and development of educational objectives), implementing, and evaluating CME activities. Results from program evaluations will be used to guide improvements with future programs.
